Get to Know Me

Hi, I am Bryan, Thank you for dropping by.

If you’re here you are either planning your wedding, you’re a wedding vendor or maybe a fellow photographer just seeing who’s out there. In all cases welcome. I hope I have something for everybody here.

First, if you are planning your wedding I have lots of articles that will help you along the way on my sister site here ⏩

Of course, if you are looking for a wedding photographer you are in the right place. Take a look at my portfolio but like all the pretty pictures wedding photographers put on their site, this only tells a small part of the story. Take a look at some my couples full galleries here ⏩It’s the best way to get the full picture and not just see my best work.

I Like to deliver to my couples the story of their wedding day. I will always create some of those beautiful images that catch people attention but I think it’s important to give my clients a set of images that reflect their day in an honest and real way.

About Me.

When I’m not photographing weddings you’ll normally not find me because whenever possible I like to travel. My work has me regally travelling within the UK but has also taken me into Europe and as far as California.

If I’m not booked for a few weeks I’ll discover a new part of the UK, I’ll probably be editing a recent wedding while trying not to be too distracted by the new views. If I’m not booked for a few months I’ll travel further. Weddings are very concentrated around the summer here in the UK and I’m not a big fan of the English winters so I generally take the chance to travel somewhere warmer in the winter.

There have been years I am able to take extended breaks of 3-4 months either taking my caravan around Europe, Exploring America or even taking extended trips into South America. I like to call myself a citizen of the world but the truth is then I think about the places I’d like to visit I’ve only seen a very small percentage of this amazing world.

I love being far from the tourist traps and getting a feel for the real cultures and experiences. You meet some incredible people when you get out of your comfort zone.

That said I’m not the most adventurous when it comes to food. I’m definitely a pizza, pasta kinda guy (probably why I loved Italy so much). But I have been getting better and have had a few adventurous moments, not all as bad as I thought they would be.

If you’re a vendor.

I love to connect with others in the wedding industry. We’re all here to do the best job for our couples. It might just be another Saturday to some wedding vendors but it is one of the most important days for our clients and I love to work with wedding vendors that understand that and give every wedding their all.

If that’s you, reach out to me. The more we work together the better experience we give our couples, the more we enjoy our work and the more successful we all end up being.

Mostly the photographers I come across see other photographers as opportunities to collaborate. A few see other photographers just as competition but if that’s you it’s unlikely that you will have bothered reading this far.

I run an “Associate Photographer Program” here  so I’m always looking for skilled, reliable and similarly minded wedding photographers to join so we can help each other out.

I only photograph 25 weddings a year, I don’t want to burn out or treat any of my couples as just another Saturday so when I close my books I like to have reliable people to direct any extra bookings to or any dates I don’t have available.

The other reason actually came up a couple of years ago. I broke my leg (long but fun story). so I had to find alternatives for my couples. I was able to have all my bookings covered with no disruption. It’s really important to have a good network to support us all. We are not and shouldn’t work in isolation.
